Tacopocalypse and Krunkwich Ramen House will be closed this coming Sunday, May 14th, so that our staff may spend time with their Mothers, being Mothers, and generally saluting Mothers. Starting this Week Krunkwich will be closing at 9:30pm on Friday and Saturday evenings to get ready for Late night Hot dogs. Los Banditos Hotdog Speakeasy will continue to run 10pm-3am Friday and Saturday evenings.

Happy New Year, all! We here at Krunkwich Ramen hope that you had a safe and decent holiday season, and that you are ready for 2017. I mean, it’s here so hopefully you are ready for it. This weekend will mark the return of our Sunday All That N Dim Sum from 10am to 2pm. This week’s menu will be available on Sunday, as we are working a few things out this weekend.
We will be doing our first, slightly truncated, Dim Sum menu this Sunday 12/4. It’s been a highly anticipated event, and the anticipation (for the most part) can finally end. This is a “Mini-Sum” event which will be greatly expanded in the coming weeks as we get the logistics worked out in the kitchen. Don’t fret if you don’t see your favorite thing in the whole wide world on the menu for tomorrow. Don’t flip out if you don’t see one of the “Big Five” Dim Sum staples being served just yet. As with everything we do, we try to concentrate on quality of items over size of menu until we are happy with the way things come out to the table.
Folks, we have been getting a lot of requests/questions/mild harassment about the dim sum end of “Krunkwich Ramen & Dim Sum*.” I’m happy to announce that we have gotten most of the logistics worked out in the kitchen here in the last week we have been open, and it’s time to expand our offerings.
December 4th, 2016 will mark the first of our Dim Sum Sunday services. We will be open from 10am to 3pm**, and will be a full service “sit down” restaurant for this one special weekly event.

KRUNKWICH WILL NOT BE OPENING TODAY, OCTOBER 21ST.
Krunkwich Ramen, as you may know has been in the process of moving to and completing a new location on Ingersoll Avenue in Des Moines. This opening date has been pushed back a few times, and unfortunately this is once again one of those times. I am not going to release the target date, as this has failed all of us on a few occasions. I will tell you this: as soon as we are ready, we will scream it to the high heavens that Krunkwich Ramen & Dim Sum is ready for you and yours to rejoin us for all of your favorites, along side new items from our symbiotic restaurant, Piu Piu Dim Sum (of which Krunkwich has taken its place), including traditional Korean fare, more Vegan stuff, VEGAN DESSERTS, AND OF COURSE SOME GOOD OLD FASHIONED CAPS LOCKED DIM SUM.
I’m once again sorry for the delay, what needs to be done is in the hands of some skilled professionals, and they will be finished when the job is…uh finished.
As you all know, things happen. We have run into a few more short delays, and our opening date will be pushed back to October 6th, 2016. This will give us time to finish up our move (we have a lot of stuff!!!!!), and be totally prepared for you to come ravage our menu.
